The cotton in this product is recycled denim. Denim requires a lot of natural resources when being produced and recycling and reusing materials that have already been manufactured is a great way of lowering the environmental cost. What is re.denim? Read more below:
Recycling:
Quality denim is obtained by recycling used denim cuts.
Removing all trim on the denim and reducing all the pieces into fibers. Then put in production cycle again by spinning, and finally transformed into knit.
Reducing:
This fiber has no impact on the environment: The denim is used again in a new production cycle; no new chemical colors are used so the fibers keep their original colors. By doing so, we save the many liters of water, it takes to dye the fibers.
Reusing:
The environmental importance of reusing the things that men have already made, is very big. This can also be used in fashion where the trend is not only the research of new, but also the reusing of the existing.
